Calibration of police radar guns 

Calibration of police radar guns is performed by the Russian State Standard Organization. Primary calibration is performed directly at the manufacturing firm. 

For this purpose SIMICON has signed a contract for metrological maintenance the Saint-Petersburg's State Enterprise "TEST-Saint-Petersburg". All police radar guns are supplied with logbooks with calibration marks. The cost of primary calibration is included in the radar gun price and is not paid additionally. 

According to requirements of the Russian State Standard all used police radar guns must have periodical calibration once a year. Every radar gun has a logbook where the date of the next calibration is specified. Periodical calibration can be performed both directly at SIMICON and at any of acting service centers >. 

As a rule, calibration inside our company takes place weekly. A calibration day is specified by the representative of "TEST-Saint-Petersburg". Please, contact the marketing department to define the date of the nearest calibration. 

Calibration test bench IS-24

SIMICON performs dispatch of speed simulators (calibration test benches) to the organizations interested. 

The speed simulator IS-24 is used for calibration of radar guns of the Ê-range (24,15 GHz). It is possible to calibrate radar guns of other companies if one corresponds by the size or has a special adapting cowling.

Integration

For organization a work place for repair, maintenance and calibration of radar guns it is necessary to have the following equipment set:

• Speed imitator IS-24;
• Oscillograph (Ñ1-76 or similar;
• Cymometer (ChZ-66 or similar;
• Power supply (B5-7 or similar). 

SIMICON supplies only the speed imitator from the specified list. The other devices can be purchased from suppliers of standard radio metering equipment.

Certification and warranties

• The imitator is registered in the State List of measuring instruments under N 19867-00 and is allowed to be used on all territory of Russia;
• Pattern Approval Certificate of Measuring Instruments RU.S.28.022.A N 8279;
• Serial dispatches to Police Departments of Russia have been held since August, 1997;
• The warranty period is 1.5 years.
