Police in-car video-recording radar system
"ISKRA-VIDEO"
PURPOSE
The system "ISKRA-VIDEO" includes a radar gun "ISKRA-1", a monitor, a
telecamera and a remote control unit. The system is purposed for visual control over road situation, registration and documentation of facts of violation of Road Traffic Rules. It is easily installed in a car, works while a patrol car is moving and in the stationary mode.
MAIN ABILITIES AND ADVANTAGES
- work in the stationary mode or while moving, observation of oncoming or following targets through the front or rear windows;
- repeated photographing of road situation;
- automatic measuring and inclusion in a picture of the speed of a violator;
- automatic inclusion in a picture of the date and time, information of modes of measuring, direction of a violator's movement;
- feature of inclusion in a picture of No. of the report of an administrative violation;
- optimal adjustment for any conditions thanks to the zoom lens and to adjustment of the radar gun measuring distance;
- discernibility of the number plate of a car at a distance of up to 100 m (depending on a focal distance of the lens);
- recording of picture succession into RAM which allows tracing the dynamics of changes in road situation and simultaneous work with several violators without recording of information into the archives;
- viewing pictures, double magnification of part of a picture, processing of images with the purpose of improving the discernibility of the number plate of a violator's car;
- storage of pictures and information in the long-term archival memory (on the flash-card), transmission of data to a computer, printer, TV-set;
- feature of long analogue video recording (in a set with a videotape recorder);
- convenient control from a remote control unit on infrared rays;
- simple and convenient interface of the display – a system of color marks allows easy search of needed pictures from a recorded succession;
- specialized software for work with the database of violators and processing of obtained pictures with a computer.
WORKING MODES
- TV-translation: A current TV image is displayed with indication of the date and time.
- Measuring: In the measuring mode a current image is displayed as well as the measured speed of an observed car, date and time. RAM stores the last 64 pictures. Analysis of a succession of a few pictures allows revealing a violator on a road with intense flow of cars and in other complicated conditions.
- Viewing: On a command from the remote control unit measuring stops and the device switches to the viewing mode. It is possible to view any of the last 64 pictures and store it into the archives. If necessary, it is possible to double a fragment of a picture as well as improve the quality (intelligibility) of the number plate of a car.
- Archives: Viewing is effected of pictures stored into the archives earlier. The capacity of the archival memory depends on a flash card chosen. A standard set includes a card with a capacity of 64 Mb. Transfer of data to a computer is fairly easy: it is enough to insert the flash card into the reading device of the computer.
