"SIMICON-ISKRA"P - radar speed sensor comprising flat beam gain antenna .
Speed sensor has no controls - it’s designed to operate as a part of video-recording radar systems and photo radars. Speed sensor is designed to operate in stationary position only. Control and information display functions are carried out by the external devices: PC or other specialized devices.
A narrow antenna beam (beamwidth is four degrees), the main feature of this sensor, makes it reasonable to use "SIMICON-ISKRA"Ð as a part of video-recording radar systems and photo radars.
For example, this speed sensor is embedded into "KRIS"P photo radars.
BASIC FUNCTIONS AND BENEFITS

- Using specialized wire the speed measurements are synchronized with video camera frames.
OPERATING MODES
Basic mode of "SIMICON-ISKRA"Ð signal processing provides quick detection of targets and their speed measurement at rather short distances.
The speed measurement in Basic mode of operation could be started in any of two different measurement modes:
Auto-repeat - by the first command of external controller speed sensor starts periodical speed measurements untill the pre-defined time interval passes, or untill the speed sensor is switched off.
Single-shot - it's possible to run single-shot speed measurement (in response to an external controller command).
In Basic mode, measured speeds of only closest (strongest echo) targets are sent to external controller. When speed sensor placed above the road and aimed to the center of the traffic lane, it would detect only one target.
