 Speed Sensor "SIMICON-ISKRA"M
"SIMICON-ISKRA"M - state-of-the-art radar speed meter comprising the ultra-compact horn aerial with exceptional technical characteristics.
Speed sensor has no controls - it’s designed to operate as a part of speed control system.
Control and information display functions are carried out by the external devices: PC or other specialized devices.
For example, this speed sensor is included into the "ISKRA-VIDEO-2"M system.
BASIC FUNCTIONS AND BENEFITS
- Data exchange with external devices can be provided by RS-232 or USB interfaces (customer selectable).
- The new dual-mode algorithm of signal processing, which provides remarkable speed and stability of operation in moving mode of patrol vehicle.
- Extended range of measured speeds (20-300 km/h).
- Selection of the target movement direction: oncoming, outgoing or both directions.
- Ability to measure the speed in stationary position of the patrol vehicle or in motion. In moving mode the speed of patrol vehicle is determined in addition to speed of the oncoming or outgoing targets .
- Ability to detect and measure the speed of the fastest or/and the strongest echo target.
- Open data exchange protocol for connecting the speed sensor to external devices made by third party manufacturers.
DESIGN FEATURES
- Unique compact, lightweight and ergonomic design. One of the most miniature speed sensors all over the world.
- Standard, widely used DB9 socket for connecting to COM port (usage of the cables of third party manufacturers is allowed).
- Speed sensor body is made of impact-resistant plastic.
- Two methods of mounting: detachable - using VELCRO fastener, and fixed - using mounting screws.
OPERATING MODES
Modes of signal processing:
- Normal mode - for use in patrol car as a part of a speed control system with detecting both fastest and strongest echo targets. It provides maximal distance of measurement, reasonable measurement rate and stable work in moving mode.
- Fast mode - for use in stationary mode with detecting both fastest and strongest echo targets. Measurement rate is increased by half and distance of measurement is slightly reduced.
