PURPOSE
The remote monitor "UDAR-1" is purposed for transmission via a radio channel of digital and video information from a remote radar gun to the video-recording device "KADR-1. Use of the radio extender allows transmission of information of a violator to a post of GIBDD (the State Inspection on Road Traffic Safety) or to a patrol car at a considerable distance from a place of violation.
Composition of set
- The transmitting unit consists of a microwave TV-transmitter with a directed antenna and a color viewfinder. A radar gun "ISKRA-1" with a
telecamera and the transmitting unit are installed on a tripod.
- The receiving unit consists of a TV-receiver and an external directed antenna. The receiving unit is installed on the dash panel and connected with the display of a video-recording device "KADR-1"
(is part of system "ISKRA-VIDEO").
Order of operation
The radar gun with the telecamera, the directed antenna and receiving unit are installed on a special tripod. It is acceptable also to install the complex in a patrol car on a thrust beam with an external antenna on the roof. Power is supplied to the transmitter from the vehicle-borne electric network or from an additional car accumulator.
The receiving unit and the display of the video-recording device are installed in another patrol car with the help of a bracket or at a post of GIBDD. The directed antenna is placed on the roof of the car on a support with magnetic bearings.
The transmitting unit being connected, the radar gun "ISKRA-1" switches to the stationary automatic mode and picture of road situation is transmitted via a radio channel to the display of the video-recording device.
The remote monitor "UDAR-1" allows considerable expanding of capabilities of the radar gun. Thanks to data transmission over a considerable distance (up to 1 km) an inspector of the Road Controlling Service is able to stop a violator in time and to produce him evidences of the fact of his violating the speed regime. The
remote monitor "UDAR-1" being used, all the capabilities of the system "ISKRA-VIDEO" remain (including the feature of transmitting data to a computer, creating and storing the database of violations, printing obtained pictures with information
etc.)
