| The highlights of the international forum INTERPOLITECH – 2002 |
The 4th international forum INTERPOLITECH – 2002, devoted to a police and military equipment, which was held in November 11 through 14, 2002, in Moscow is completed.
The SIMICON Company was awarded the diplomas of the Russian Federation’s Department of the Interior and also the diplomas of the forum’s executive committee.

| The latest design innovations of the “Kadr-1” video equipment |
Since October 01, 2002 a production of two new models of the “Kadr-1” video equipment has begun.
The model “Kadr-1”M has the following features:
- an ability of the registration of several speed infringements without their storage
- an objective is supplied with zoom lens
- a main storage’ volume is increased up to 4 times
- a recording capacity is now twice as much as before
- a new facility to add in an archival storage the number of a police report
- an ability to increase the volume of an archival storage (flash-card)
- an optimization of a picture’s area with a car’s number plate
- data transfer to a computer by means of a standard flash-card
The model “Kadr-1”C:
In addition to the all performance capabilities of the “Kadr-1”M video equipment this models has a color picture on a display.
ATTENTION!
Since October 01, 2002 the out-of-dated model “Kadr-1” is taken off the production.
The warranty and service are maintained without any restrictions.

| The latest design innovations of the “Iskra-1” police radar gun |
The company makes the next step to the technological advancement of its main product – the “Iskra-1” police radar gun.
- The new lithium ion accumulators are applied; they assure frost-resistance and prolong a device’s on-cycle without recharge
- Accumulator is built into the handle of the radar gun (formerly it was placed outside on the holder’s bench)
- The charging unit is built direct into the device
- The dimensions of a device are decreased; radar gun is now 10 oz (300 gm.) – a third! – lighter and 2” (5 cm) shorter
All the performance specifications are kept as before.

| News-release dedicated to 10 anniversary of SIMICON |
In December 2001 SIMICON had its 10 anniversary.
Constant investments in research and development allowed annually launch to the market new types of products. Generally since 1991 more than 50 types and models have been developed and produced. The most successful company development is road radar gun «ISKRA-1», serial dispatches of which have been started since 1997.
The fact that in 2001 SIMICON has won Russian contest "100 BEST PRODUCTS of RUSSIA" can be considered as a definite acceptation of our achievements. But the main award for us always will be popularity and acknowledgement of our produce by DPS officials.
SIMICON has changed. It is already a big company. During 10 years our enterprise became one of the leading producers of microwave equipment in Russia. In 2001 we have changed our slogan for «ALL IS UNDER CONTROL» that corresponds to our main principles and to performance of our devices.
But all our progress and achievements were received also with the help of solid working group. During 10 years we have organized a group of like-minded talented scientists and engineers, energetic and communicative managers, secretaries and of qualified workers and specialists.
We want to congratulate and thank for success work our dealers, regional representatives and partners. Not only in Russia but also in CIS and Baltic States we are working with more than 80 companies and firms. These are our regional representatives and service centers for technical maintenance of radar guns, dealers that realize our autoelectronics in Russia.
Celebrating its 10 anniversary the company sums up and looks into the future making plans for the next 10 years.

The radar gun "ISKRA-1" was presented for the contest.

| First time in Russia the certification of radar-detectors took place |
In accordance to letter of Russian Standardization, Metrology and Certification Committee from 30.03.98 it is said that radar-detectors are not the subject of obligatory certification.
To respond the wishes of our customers and dealers SIMICON received certificate of conformance for radar-detectors (ÐÎÑÑ RU.ÌÅ83.H01580 18 April, 2001).

| News release of «Speed control instruments-2001» Seminar |
More than 40 representatives from 20 Russia areas: Police officers, radar gun producers and specialists of service centers have taken a part in practical seminar «Speed control instruments-2001» in Saint-Petersburg country side town Olgino at the end of March. Participants were able to see Russian and foreign radar guns. To everybody surprise it is turned out that our radar guns not only correspond to foreign level but also expel most of western developments.
The participants were assured in it during practical tests. There was research in area of new properties: ability of radar gun to measure on coming target without reaction for recessive one (or visa versa). Now the officer is able to choose both directions to avoid many conflicts. During moving "Iskra-1"Ä impeccably measures the speed both of on-coming and head targets. That gives the officer a lot of new potentials. The radar gun itself received a new button that allows to choose the mode of targets selection.
The highlight of the program became the demonstration of "Kadr-1" videoregistrator. The device is produced serially and is used in Russia.
In the conclusion the scientists of the leading Russian enterprise SIMICON have told about their new projects in sphere of speed control, asking a question "Do you really need it?" In the result a discussion took place that was good for all participants. Who knows may be the seminar will give a new push for future techniques evolution?

| Are phase out all models of radar-detectors that are working only in X-range |
We are to inform the customers and dealers that owing to wide spread using of radar guns working at 24,15 Ghz frequency (particularly "ISKRA-1"), SIMICON have stopped producing radar-detectors that are working in X-range.
The following radar-detectors are phased out and its remain is realized from the store:
ÀDVAISER Ì241Õ, M251X, M261X, ACCORD 341Õ, SIMICON X Compact.
SIMICON continues the launch of radar-detectors worked in both (Õ è Ê) ranges.

The launch of new radar-detector SMART-612XK is started:
- exclusive functions and size
- automatically follows the level of noise and temperature (this decreases to minimum false abrasions and increases the sensitiveness).
- there are no false abrasions on cell phone,
- the device is fastened on torpedo or sunlight peak,
- "highway" and "city" modes
- sound and light signal
- "MUTE" mode,
