The company history 

1991

Five scientists and engineers of well-known enterprises LOEP (Leningrad Association of Electronic Industry) "SVETLANA" and NPO (Scientific and Production Association) "DOMEN" organized and registered a new company. Some inventions were done, knowledge of advanced technologies and very rich experience in the field of SYSTEMS of MICROWAVE CONTROL. Hence the name SIMICON. The slogan to do only that you can do better than others became a common principle. 
Initially SIMICON produced only one type of product: SIMICON-BLIK radar-detector in mirrow with a clock.

1992

The company engineers has found a new solution: use in radar-detectors phased microstrip antenna that differs from traditional horn antenna. As a result the company launches to the market super miniature radar-detector SIMICON-MINI that has really uniq characteristics. Also this year 1st microwave unit for security systems called IROKEZ was developed.

1993

The company has been increasing its assortment and volume of launched products. Radar-detector modification in back-view mirrow appears, called SIMICON-LUX, that differs by service and electrical control. The cumbersome IROKEZ was exchanged by the microwave guard sensor AURA, on base of which automobile security system MARS was created. Then the next new security system EXPRESS appears that can be installed of user's own.

1994

Take place: Registration of SIMICON^® trade mark and brand. Consolidation of market positions and intense production development. Perfection of quality control systems: different reliability tests took place, including vibrostability and mean-time-between-failures. Then one more the company principle appears: The best advertisement is the product itself.

1996

Developing of microprocessor technology. Thanks to that new type of devices appears - multifunctional devices ADVISERS that include microstripe antenna technology and microprocessor control advantages. ADVISER^® is registered as a trade mark in Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia. In the same time together with nomenclature the production volume is growing, practically doubly each year. 

1997

By the beginning of 1997 SIMICON has been launching 9000 different products a month. Scientific and technological level of the company allowed to develop complicated device - a radar gun. The company successfully takes the State test of road radar gun ISKRA-1 and receives State certificate for production. Since November 1997 serial dispatches of radar guns for traffic police services have been started. 

1998

ISKRA-1B radar gun modification appears that provides allocation of the fastest target in the stream. Radar gun receives self-contained supply and other accessories. In spite of complicated financial and economic situations the company continues investments into scientific spheres and in new developments.

1999

ISKRA-1D radar gun is serially launched - it is the 1st Russian radar gun that is able to operate in moving. ROSTEST approves new technical conditions for ISKRA-1 radar guns. Production modernization takes place - new technological line is intruded that corresponds to the modern requirements of assembly electronic production.
New radar-detector type, called ACCORD, is launched to the market. It is miniature multifunctional device that contains radar detector, tachometer, voltmeter, clock and additional smart-functions.
Officially opens Internet site www.simicon.com The company takes part in different International and Russian exhibitions and conferences. The company begins to form a dealer net and a net of Service centers for maintenance and technical support of the products. 

2000

The tests of videoregistrator KADR-1 are finished and serial launch to the market is started.
The further perfection of radar gun ISKRA-1 takes place: the distance of fixing target can be set, constructions is modernized. Ministry of Internal Affairs Certification of radar guns is finished. 
The production of new radar detectors models ADVISER 252XK, 262XK with expanded functions and service. 

2001

At the same time two new models of radar detectors are launched to the market: 512 SPARK XK and 612 SMART XK, they have modern original design and unique functions. First in Russia SIMICON receives certificate for radar-detectors. 
New function of ISKRA-1 radar gun is developed: ability to select target direction. 
SIMICON leads its practical seminar "Speed control means - 2001". More than 40 representatives from 20 Russian regions and near abroad take a part in it.
In 2001 the company wins Russian contest "100 BEST PRODUCTS OF RUSSIA" and becomes a laureate of main State award of Russia Federation "RUSSIAN NATIONAL OLYMPUS". 
New slogan of the company appears "All is under control!"

While celebrating 10-year universary, the company not only analyse the results but also makes plans for the next 10 years, optimistically looking into the future.
